Matthew Duffy

Matthew Duffy, Esq. is an associate attorney at Kirschenbaum & Kirschenbaum, P.C. Mr. Duffy prides himself on putting clients first and providing strategic guidance to ensure the best possible outcome in every situation. He brings to the firm his unique perspective and wide array of exposure in both litigation and transactional matters.
Prior to joining our firm, Mr. Duffy assisted in intellectual property litigation (copyright and trademark), performed chain of title research, and drafted licenses, nondisclosure agreements, and representation agreements. He also supported attorneys during contract negotiations and advised on individual privacy rights including defamation, false light, and rights of publicity. These experiences not only sharpened his attention to detail and strategic problem-solving skills but also reinforced his unwavering commitment to client advocacy and the protection of their rights.
Mr. Duffy graduated Cum Laude from Southwestern Law School. During his time at Southwestern, Mr. Duffy served as a Dean’s Fellow, a Teaching Assistant for Civil Procedure, Constitutional Criminal Procedure, and Contracts, and was an advocate in the Negotiation Honors Program (NHP), one of Southwestern’s advocacy honors programs. In NHP, he strengthened his alternative dispute resolution skills by representing Southwestern in the 2024 California Sports Lawyer Negotiation Competition at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. He also received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for the excellent achievement in the study of Wills & Trusts. Before law school, Mr. Duffy received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from New York University.
