The problem with them is ongoing and seems to be getting worse on a radio by radio basis. Ralph A. ESS ********************* another comment ********************* Ken Honeywell is not to be trusted. They should never have entered this industry. Mike S ********************* another comment ********************* Ken I know Lyric going dark for remote programming is a much bigger issue for some. The panels were discontinued in 2021 and devices shortly thereafter which was a prelude of things to come. Jason A. ********************* Response ********************* This is on the technical side so I can't comment. I haven't had any claim or lawsuit involving the M2M radio that I can recall. The Lyric panel has certainly gotten its fair share of attention; probably more than any piece of hardware deserves. The ongoing issues with the M2M radios deserves scrutiny. The failure rate seems persistent and it appears from discussion here to be accelerating on a unit‑by‑unit basis. That’s not a nuisance, it's a systemic reliability problem. When a device whose sole purpose is dependable communication begins to falter unpredictably, it undermines the very service dealers are contracted to provide. Before we jump to conclusions, we need to separate unverified personal frustration from actionable data. Are these failures tied to aging hardware, network changes, firmware issues, or manufacturing inconsistencies? Are certain models failing more frequently than others? Are failures clustered by geography or carrier? Without that information, we’re swinging in the dark. If you’re experiencing recurring M2M radio failures, wee should have specifics: model, age, carrier, symptoms, and failure frequency. Only then can we determine whether this is a solvable technical issue, a vendor accountability issue, or a sign that the industry needs to accelerate its transition to more robust communication platforms like IP‑first systems or cellular‑only communicators. Dealers deserve equipment that works. Manufacturers should be responsive, and sensitive, to this criticism and provide necessary assurance to the dealers that the product is indeed suitable and reliable. ********************* STANDARD FORMS Alarm / Security / Fire and related Agreements. click here: www.alarmcontracts.com *************************** CONCIERGE LAWYER SERVICE PROGRAM FOR THE ALARM INDUSTRY - You can check out the program and sign up here: https://www.kirschenbaumesq.com/page/concierge or contact our Program Coordinator Stacy Spector, Esq at 516 747 6700 x 304. *********************** ALARM ARTICLES: You can always read our Articles on our website at ww.kirschenbaumesq.com/page/alarm-articles updated daily ******************** THE ALARM EXCHANGE - the alarm industries leading classified and business exchange - updated daily ************************* Wondering how much your alarm company is worth?
