Change your spam controls and whitelist ken@kirschenbaumesq.com ****************************** ISC Schedule / Another good reason to use Standard Form Agreements March 24, 2023 ************************* If you're attending the ISC show next week I still have a few times available for private meetings and our group meetings may also have a few spots. Give Stacy Spector,Esq a call to schedule a time 516 747 6700 x 304 or email her at SSpector@Kirschenbaumesq.com. If you don't have time to schedule I'll be stopping by Rapid Response Monitoring's booth and COPS Monitoring booth, so stop by and say hello. ********************* Another good reason to use Standard Form Agreements ********************* Using the Standard Form Agreements and keeping them updated is perhaps the most important business decision you will be making; of course not the only one, but when you get sued, want to sue, seek insurance, look for a central station and negotiate to sell your alarm accounts you will rewarded for your decision to use the Kirschenbaum Contracts™ and keep them updated. These are all great reasons to use these contract forms. Getting into law suits, selecting a central station and insurance and selling your alarm accounts doesn’t come up on a day to day basis. But I can tell you what does come up daily, questions about how you should be handling a particular customer issue or new customer contract negotiations. I get calls every day asking for help on these issues. Whether it’s * can I increase my charges * do I have to service this difficult customer * can I stop monitoring * can I start collection * I just got a claim letter or a summons for a customer loss; now what * customer wants copy of service records or video and audio recordings * customer wants passcodes There’s probably a hundred variations on the above issues and other issues. Most of the time I am able to answer the question in a quick call. Why? Because the alarm company uses a Standard Form Agreement, tells me which form, assures me it wasn’t modified [at least regarding topic of discussion] and I know exactly what the terms of the contract are. When I get a call on a contract I didn’t write it’s not possible to offer an opinion because I don’t know what the contract requires. Sure I can read the contract, but that’s not happening on a “quick” call. In other words, that’s not happening on a “free” call. It’s also not going to take a half hour, which happens to be the “free” monthly credit Concierge Clients get for contract review. Being able to get a quick answer on problems that arise almost daily is an important advantage of using the Kirschenbaum Contracts™. Stepping up to Concierge Client level is the next smart move. Joining the Concierge Program is smart; using the Concierge Program benefits is definitely even smarter. I spend most of my day, every day, advising and helping alarm companies with their legal and often business issues. It makes my job easier if I know what contract you’re using, and reading something you or someone else put together doesn’t really help because I can’t determine the enforceability of other contract forms with considerable examination and research. May as well avoid that unnecessary and time consuming expense and use the Kirschenbaum Contracts™. If you see me in Las Vegas please say hello. ********************* Schedule for Group Discussion Meetings at ISC [subject to dealer interest] Meetings are limited to 6 dealers.
