But the truth is that keeping track of your accounts receivables are at least as important as keeping track of new business; both are essential to continue successful operations. When to be concerned about your receivable from a particular account does vary, but once the account has established a pattern of payment any change warrants concern [unless of course payments come early]. Some customers pay 90 or more days in arrears and others pay within 10 days of receipt of an invoice. Auto pay by credit card or ACH of course eliminates the delay, at least until the card expires or cancels or the account is cleaned out. One of the major advantages of using Kirschenbaum Contracts™ is that K&K will support your collection cause, because we can. The Kirschenbaum Contracts™ includes an arbitration provision that permits K&K’s collection department to begin proceedings within a day or so of you sending the matter to us. Not only will the delinquent customer receive “legal” papers within days of your sending to K&K but the customer will have only weeks to respond and the entire process in arbitration should take no more than 90 days, start to finish. Most cases settle quickly and only a handful actually require court confirmation. To start a relationship with K&K’s collection department contact Kathleen Lampert at KLampert@Kirschenbaumesq.com or call her at 1 516 747 6700 x 319. This topic was prompted by Kathleen giving me a letter she had AI prepare, which came up with a good argument why now is a good time of year to focus on your collections. Here is AI’s letter. ***** Dear [Client],
