CONTRACT QUESTIONS
***************************
Ken:
Can you answer the following questions?
1.  If I get the Commercial All-in-One do I need the individual Sales, Monitoring (I use Rapid Response who uses your contract), & service.
2.  Also Access control, A/V, CCTV sale (under Misc Contracts)
3.  What does the disclaimer notice cover?
4.  Does the Residential All in One cover any of the home automation/ integration (like total connect) or do you have to get the Automation contract for any automation projects.
5.  I do not Lease equipment and do not use alarm.com (Honeywell Total Connect Dealer)
6.  Whats the difference between the Fire All in One or Fire sale & Install
7.  No Fire lease, suppression, or combo panels
8.  Do I need a fire alarm monitoring Contract if I use Rapid Response
9.  Also can you give a little more info the employee agreement and Independent sales contract; what is this protecting me from and does this cover all employees or techs
10.  How often do they need to be "upgraded" or re-purchased
11.  Do you have an Alarm Company Starter pack, or any discount if I purchase multiple contracts

RESPONSE
************************
I am going to respond to each question by number:
1.  You should get the Commercial All in One.  The All in One Agreements are comprehensive and cover all of the services you likely perform: design, sale, installation, inspection, repair service, monitoring.  You don't need the individual forms for each aspect.  The All in One is the preferred form.
2.  Access contract and cameras are covered in the All in One Agreements
3.  The Disclaimer Notice is separate acknowledgement from subscriber that you have offered more equipment and services, VoIP warning, deals with take over and existing equipment.  It's great value for $175 and you need it.
4.  There is a separate All in One for Home Automation and Integration.  However, if you're installing security equipment and systems and home automation then you can use the security Residential All in One.  If you are not installing any security equipment then get the Home Automation and Integration Agreement, designed as a residential form.  We have it for single state or Nationwide form.
5.  Then you don't need any of the lease forms and you don't need the alarm.com Rider.
6.  Fire All in One is a commercial fire agreement covering everything you likely do or will contract for: sale, installation, inspection, repair service and monitoring.  The Fire Sale covers design, sale and installation only.  Get the Fire All in One; it's better value.
7.  You don't lease, so you don't need the Fire Lease All in One.  You don't do Suppression so you don't need the Fire Suppression Agreement.
8. Yes; no central station should be giving you a monitoring contract for you to use with your subscribers.  If it does then it's probably a form the central wants signed for its own protection, not yours.  It's your subscriber, you are contracting for monitoring and other services and you need your own contract directly with the subscriber.
9.  Employment Agreement is for all your employees.  It has the provisions you'll wish you had if your relationship with the employee ends.  The Independent Sales Affiliate agreement is for a 1099 salesman, and you'll wish you have that too if the relationship ends.
10.  Good idea to upgrade your contract every few years, just like you're upgrading your equipment and systems.
11.  Starter package?  Yes,  get the All in One Agreements that you need for your business, residential, commercial and commercial fire, home automation, and the disclaimer notice.  The price for each agreement is on our Order Form.  For more information call our Contract Administrator Eileen Wagda at 516 747 6700 x 312.
