As a direct result of the ADT fiasco, we have sent a letter to all of our clients outlining how and why we may be able to touch their system in any way as well as how we protect their data in our offices. This includes cameras, access controllers, remote security services and more. Our letter is structured that if the client wants us to have access for support, such as to check if cameras are on line, they must specifically opt in. Our staff is receiving a memo directing them to delete any and all client data including IP addresses, password notes etc. from their devices and reminding them of the NDA they signed on hiring and our obligation to protect both privacy and security.
