CAN YOU POST OR USE PERPS' PHOTOS
***********************
Ken,
Can you comment on the law surrounding posting videos or photos of assumed perpetrators of crimes at our customers businesses or homes.  Video systems actually do work once in a while if designed and installed correctly.  The attached photo is a snapshot from a system we installed.  As you can see it plainly shows the perp’s face as he dumbly looked directly at the video camera during his ‘unauthorized visit’ into our client’s yard.  We would like to post these videos on all our social media sites showing how well they work to boost interest in our offerings.  The videos are either in a public space like looking at the streets or private spaces like a backyard.
    Your thoughts?
    Yours for better security,
Steve Sopkin, President

Civil Rights laws prohibit using another person's image for personal gain without permission.  Although video and photo images can be reported and used by news organizations and police, I don't think you can post them on your website or otherwise use them for promotional material without consent.  That's my off the cuff thought.

HAVING PROBLEM RECEIVING OUR EMAILS ON YOUR GMAIL ACCOUNT?
**************************
Ken
I wanted to share with you the setting I found within Google's GMAIL that now allows your Newsletter to land in my "Inbox". I thought that this may be good for you to know in case others are having similar difficulties.
As you already know I had Ken’s email address in my contact list as well as having a filter created, as per gmail's suggestion to prevent the emails from being marked as SPAM. Unfortunately this was not working and all of Kens emails had been going to my SPAM folder. Well, after much frustration I found that there is a check box setting within gmail under the filter that needed to be checked. The check box is labeled: ("Never send to SPAM") and it is on the second page of the filters settings.
Respectfully,
Darren Faivre

COMMENT ON SIGNED CONTRACT FROM OCT 5 2016 ARTICLE
*************************
Ken
Better Safe Than Sorry had a very familiar ring to it that we use to avoid problems.
The first rule we have is that we do not salivate or anticipate ANYTHING from any realty management company or contractor or builder UNTIL WE HAVE A SIGNED CONTRACT. (And statement of authority to ENTER INTO CONTRACTS on behalf of a third party.  Realty Management companies are the worst because every cent they can hold onto without disbursing  they usually expense out and KEEP.
Without a SIGNED CONTRACT, and a list of ALL CONDITIONS that they expect you to meet we do not even PURCHASE EQUIPMENT, Apply for permits etc.  We do not give detailed designs or even list pitfalls that we have found except in vague terms..  If we do not get a job, let the favored company do their own research.     The greatest compliment you can receive is a call from the " Customer"  stating that they have a project half completed or not working and want you to fix it........
