We purchased your All-in-One Commercial Fire Alarm Agreement. Question, where it says Subscriber name on the first page, and subscriber address, does that need to be the physical monitored address? Sometimes we send these forms to management companies and they put their management name and address in there. For example, 25 Oak Drive is a condominium complex, managed by Rambo Management. Should the address on the contract be: the address of the management company? the owner of the property, in this case a condo association? the address for billing? the address where the installation or services are to be performed? Thank you. Goldie ******************************* Response ******************************* A question that becomes more complex as we view the options. One safe answer could be, all the above; adding all the addresses will certainly clarify the relationships. The management company likely gets and pays the bills. However, your real subscriber is the owner, the condo association. This is basic agent/principal relationship. In the event of default it's the condo association you'll be going after or the one going after you. The All in One form has a line which contemplates the address of the property where the work is performed. You can add space for billing address and you can also add space for management company information and principal information. This additional information can also be added in the Schedule of Equipment and Services. It's always easier,, more efficient and better practice to get the correct and complete customer information when you prepare and execute the contract. Looking for it later, when you need it, will cause delay, confusion and perhaps reveal mistakes on your part getting the contract properly executed, which can affect enforcement; something you don't want to happen. ******************************* STANDARD FORMS Alarm / Security / Fire and related Agreements click here: www.alarmcontracts.com *************************** CONCIERGE LAWYER SERVICE PROGRAM FOR THE ALARM INDUSTRY - You can check out the program and sign up here: https://www.kirschenbaumesq.com/page/concierge or contact our Program Coordinator Stacy Spector, Esq at 516 747 6700 x 304. *********************** ALARM ARTICLES: You can always read our Articles on our website at ww.kirschenbaumesq.com/page/alarm-articles updated daily ******************** THE ALARM EXCHANGE - the alarm industries leading classified and business exchange - updated daily ************************* Wondering how much your alarm company is worth?
