Pelosi break in gives pause to alarm dealer

Ken
I was wondering about the Nancy Pelosi break-in and the fact that there was a reported "private security system" installed in the premise but no reports of an alarm going off or if it was in fact armed or left disarmed.  My comment is Mr P might never have been injured if an alarm went off indicating an intrusion.  Your 2 cents on this.... btw I am more careful to set my alarm at night!

The reporting seems inconsistent and unclear.  Initially it sounded like a PERS device was activated.  That was not confirmed by the PD.  Then it was noted that there was a broken window and that there was an alarm in the home.  Either that window wasn’t protected or the alarm system was not on.  If you don’t turn your intrusion alarm on it’s not going to be helpful when someone breaks in.
But the reporting gets bazaar when it was reported that the cops showed up, doing a “wellness check” at 2AM in the morning, spoke to Paul P at the front door and watched him walk back into the house to do battle with the intruder, who promptly plummeted him with a hammer.  The source of the hammer escapes me.
The Polosis live in a city and state that tolerates [really encourages it, supports it] homelessness, mental illness and lawlessness.  Why is this really surprising?
If you have an alarm system and you don’t use it, you’re a fool.  That’s more so if you’re in the alarm business, but not every shoemaker wears shoes.  If you don’t have an alarm system you probably should be mindful of your neighborhood and where you travel.
PS – I am actually in my office watching the news – today is election day, but by the time you read this the election will be long over.  I’ll constrain myself since I’m not a fortune teller.  But, hoping for better times.
