more from Bart on comment on Resideo's Lyric panel issue
*************************
Ken,
I can see that my primary message could have been overlooked, so here comes the two sentence to refocus.
None of the Resideo panels in the field went "dark" and no customer was at any greater risk than the day before, or the day after.
The only inconvenience fell upon the alarm dealer who could no longer do remote downloading, which opened the door for future on site visits that may result in new sales.
Please feel free to continue to throw your best puns about my lack of membership to the Bar, it's moderately entertaining.

Resideo is certainly taking a beating on this forum and you seem to be the most vocal advocate on its behalf.  Manufacturers sunset equipment, stop support and render equipment obsolete, but most provide adequate notice and perhaps some alternate option to ease the inconvenience and transition.  From all the comments it seems like Risideo may have dropped the ball on that score, though some dealers seem to experienced more inconvenience than others.
As far as my revealing that you're not a licensed attorney I am sure it took many by surprise, and may have shocked you as well.  Many were surprised, not because I pointed out that you're not a lawyer, which I have to do frequently, but that I bothered.
But, you do have great instincts, legal and otherwise, and sharing your expertise and advice on this forum [and to your dealers] is greatly appreciated by me and others.  So, heartfelt thanks.

PS: for what it’s worth, you would make a pretty good lawyer
