This is a joke, Cry Wolf has not provided an annual report to New Orleans in the 10 years since the ordinance has been signed. No one in the New Orleans Superintendent’s office is over seeing the program, nor does anyone know how much money this program is costing the city of New Orleans, or if any monies are being sent to the city for collected fines from Cry Wolf. Cry Wolf confirmed they quit sending notifications to customers regarding false alarms during COVID, if no one has been notified, how does the customer or the alarm company, or the central station know the location is on no-response? Don’t do it New York, don’t do it, this will be a mess. Thank you C. Hunter ***************** Response ***************** Not one alarm company has written in that they have paid a false alarm fine, reimbursed by the customer or not. I hope the New York activity [I have not checked to see if the legislation has become law yet] does not wake up local jurisdictions that alarm dealers are fair game for fines.
