Insurance is an integral part of doing business. Without insurance, you shouldn't be in business. If you know a business operating without insurance, you shouldn't do business with them. Your story of the jewelry store is a perfect example of when to run. If a business can't afford insurance, they can't afford to have a business. Fortunately, for the security industry, there are very few incidents and claims which make insurance affordable. Reach out to a broker who understands the security industry, and we will make it affordable for you while not compromising coverages. It's an inquiry that I suspect most dealers don't bother to find out about, even though the K&K Standard Form Agreements require the subscriber to obtain and maintain appropriate insurance and name the dealer as an additional insured. There are reasons for this beyond the actual insurance coverage, but that's for another article. The lesson here is that if the subscriber has no where else to turn after suffering a loss your security or fire alarm company is a good choice. Don't leave yourself without contractual protection. And, if the subscriber doesn't have insurance, and even if it does, you better have appropriate insurance, and that includes general liability with alarm industry E&O coverage. Look no further than Shawn; he's an expert you can rely on. ************************** STANDARD FORMS Alarm / Security / Fire and related Agreements. click here: www.alarmcontracts.com *************************** CONCIERGE LAWYER SERVICE PROGRAM FOR THE ALARM INDUSTRY - You can check out the program and sign up here: https://www.kirschenbaumesq.com/page/concierge or contact our Program Coordinator Stacy Spector, Esq at 516 747 6700 x 304. *********************** ALARM ARTICLES: You can always read our Articles on our website at ww.kirschenbaumesq.com/page/alarm-articles updated daily ******************** THE ALARM EXCHANGE - the alarm industries leading classified and business exchange - updated daily ************************* Wondering how much your alarm company is worth?
