Can fire inspection report have digital signature
**********************
Ken
When we perform a fire alarm inspection and the AHJ requires a completed NFPA72 report be provided. This NFPA72 report requires the technician who performed the inspection sign the report. If the technician agrees in advance can his signature be digitized and inserted into the report once he confirms the report has been completed and is accurate?

Here is what I think you are asking.  The NFPA 72 inspection report is completed at the office.  The tech who did the inspection reports inspection results to the office but he’s not there to actually sign the report.
After completing preparing the report you want to know if the tech’s signature can be added using a digital signature.
What about affixing the signature by using a stamp on a paper report?
I don’t know whether NFPA addresses this issue.  Does the report need to be an original with original signature, or will the AHJ accept a stamped signature or a digitized signature on a digital report sent to the AHJ electronically?  Will the AHJ accept a faxed report or does the AHJ require an original?
I’ll need some expert help on this one.

Comment on non-disparagement clause from article on September 21, 2021

Ken,
Anon’s comment about disparagement and the draft language he provided proves one thing:
Alarm guys should stick to alarms, and leave the lawyering to lawyers like you.  Stay in your wheelhouse and not try to be something you’re not; it will ultimately get you in more trouble.
