CA RIGHT OF RECISION FORM FOR AUTO RENEW
******************
Ken
Is your office preparing a new three day right of recision to include this new provision in California? If so, would you send me the details/pricing?
Thanks,

Ken,
Is this something you are already working on for your contracts? If not I need your assistance to make the necessary changes to meet compliance.
thanks,
Derek

See yesterday's article [Oct 31 2016].  We are not preparing a new 3 day notice of cancellation because our Standard Residential Form Agreements have automatic renewal provision for month to month, which is excluded from the new law.  Also, as I mentioned in yesterday's article, I suggest you include the disclosure required by the new statute in the Disclaimer Notice rather than in the 3 day notice of cancellation as permitted by the statute.  One reason for this is that I don't think you want to call any more attention to the cancellation form which is intended to be used to cancel the transaction.
Having said that, if anyone wants the CA cancellation form modified to meet the new CA law contact our Contract Administrator Eileen Wagda at 516 747 6700 x 312 or EWagda@KirschenbaumEsq.com and we will prepare the form for modest charge.

VIDEO SURVEILLANCE SIGNS

Ken
Are businesses located in Missouri required by law to post any sort of notice that video surveillance cameras are in use on the premises?
Respectfully,
Megan

I am not aware of any requirement in Missouri.  Posting signs that cameras are present does not excuse video surveillance where not permitted.  The City of New York happens to have a law requiring cameras at night clubs and that signs be posted.  I am not aware of other similar laws, though they likely exist.  Anyone care to inform us?
