bedroom cameras / Master Agreement

bedroom cameras
******************
Ken,
Just wanted to ask a question…
A client called, had a party and someone stole some items…  He wants to put cameras in EVERY room, including all bed rooms; he also wants audio.  Is there any issue with these two obstacles?  I am not one to put cameras in bedrooms none the less in his 15 year old kids rooms nor his master...  So I just wanted to make sure I legally can do that…
Yes, we use your all in one contracts and we are located in NY.  No, they will not be covert cameras. The All in One agreement provides that the subscriber is obliged to use the cameras lawfully, and the onus is on the subscriber to find out what's legal and what's not legal.
Thanks,
Anonymous

It's a residence and I believe you can do the installation.  I would not approve if cameras were requested in bathrooms or other obvious places they don't belong.  If the cameras are overt, not covert, I think you are OK

Master Agreement

Ken,
We have customers with many locations in same state.  Is there a master type contract that can be signed by them and then addenda to add additional locations and or additional projects for existing locations?
Please withhold my name from this

You are looking for a single agreement that covers multiple locations.  We do offer a Standard Form called Rider for Multiple Locations.  The form, which costs $250.00, is described on the
www.alarmcontracts.com order page as
"This turns the Commercial All in One and Fire All in One into a "master agreement' so that multiple locations can be added from time to time.  This rider is not a stand-alone agreement.  You must use with the All in One agreement.  Be sure to update your All in One if ordering this master rider.  This rider is not a stand-alone agreement.  Note:  This rider may require considerable modification based on your intended use."
A single master agreement works especially well when every installation is the same at the multiple locations.  Even when the installation or service is different, each location will have to be confirmed in some way, such as a Purchase Order.
The Master Rider doesn't work well when the different locations are owned by different entities.  I also do not recommend the form for commercial fire alarm jobs because I think each location should have its own Fire All in One Agreement.
