PRICING AND ASSISTANCE INSTALLING PARKING DECK LIFT ARM GATE
*********************
Ken
We are looking for assistance both pricing and installing a parking deck lift Arm gate.  What is a reasonable price to install a parking deck lift Arm gate. Including loops, power, double gooseneck pedestal with two readers and a Partridge in a pear tree.
We will need to cut the concrete for replacement of old loop.  We will need to replace old gate with this new gate. So can someone give me some pricing advice.
Some of you who read this say if he can't price it he should not sell it. You're probably correct; this will prove to be a real pain in the rear for me.  However this is a good customer we have done business with for many years and I'm trying to help them.
Incidentally if there is someone in Alabama or Georgia that wants to come over and do this project for me I will pay them a fair price.  Again I'm not looking to make money on this project I'm looking to accommodate a good customer.
Thank you for your help Ken.
    Thanks

MORE ON ALARM PERMITS - B*********************
Ken -
Who is going to pay to fight these battles?
With the majority of our association's members being local Alarm Dealers, we can't rely on our members paying huge dues so we can pay lobbyist. We are usually confronted with the AzAA's lobbyist, the Arizona League of Cities & Town's lobbyist, the Chamber of Commerce's lobbyist, The Police Department's lobbyist, and at least a few Cities send their lobbyist to side with the AzAA. This leaves us to battle back with facts, such as existing Az statutes and the Az Constitution. For instance, when we stopped the Municipalities from demanding our client's information, without a court order, we used Article 2. Section 8. of the Az Constitution. "No person shall be disturbed in his private affairs, or his home invaded, without authority of law." When we stopped the taxing of alarm monitoring, we first proved that alarm monitoring is not the sale of communications, then we used Article 9. Section 9. of the Az Constitution. "Every law which imposes, continues, or revives a tax shall distinctly state the tax and the objects for which it shall be applied; and it shall not be sufficient to refer to any other law to fix such tax or object." When the AzAA first brought forth HB2748 it was intended to change Az laws and allow Cities to legally license Alarm Businesses and Alarm Employees. HB2748 was not changed until we interrupted and changed HB2748 to stop the Cities from illegally requiring licensing. To do this, we used existing State statute A.R.S. 32-1101.01. "The legislature determines that the licensing of construction contractors is a proper state function. Cities, including charter cities, towns and counties shall not require licenses of any construction contractors licensed by statute prior to the effective date of this section."
Currently, The Arizona Board of Technical Registration is throwing in the towel. The BTR has requested that the Legislature removes Alarm Licensing from the BTR. Although the BTR at first thought the licensing of Alarm Dealers was going to allow them to expand their regulatory authority, we attended their meetings, requested FOIA's, informed  those licensed by the Registrar that they are not required to obtain a BTR license and then we placed pressure on the BTR to refund all alarm employees for permit fees that the BTR collected without following proper procedure.
The AzAA, at a recent stake holder's meeting, suggested that we are placed under The Department of Fire, Building & Life Safety who currently regulates Manufactured Housing. This Department has a record of not being able to account for Millions of Dollars and we are Contractors. Why would Alarm Contractors be moved out of the Az Registrar of Contractors and be placed under the regulatory authority of a department that regulates trailer homes? This is an example of the insanity we are confronted with.
The next stake holders meeting will be this coming Tuesday, September 30th @ 2PM in the Az. House. We suggest all Alarm Dealers take part and hear what is taking place. Without our input, the AzAA, who's largest membership consist of police departments, will be claiming they represent the Az Alarm Dealers.
    Thanks for informing Alarm Dealers,

I totally agree with Roger because City of Hialeah Florida charge for pull a wireless 2 gig permit $380.00  plus register your alarm company name with them. Since they are incorporated
We ask them if you buy a TV you have to pull a  permit  they said no. it’s does not make no sense why pay so much for a permit.  Since a  new community they try to make any money by giving fines to each individual home owners.
