Question:

Jennifer!

Happy New Year!  Quick question, can I give a certain employee a bonus but not others?  She worked so hard through the Christmas and New Years time she really deserves it.  Is it okay?
Wishing you well.

Answer:

Dr. C, I love a positive question!  Happy and a healthy New Year to you and your loved ones!  Absolutely you can bonus the employee at your discretion!  So long as you are not excluding others for some sort of discriminatory reason, you should be all set!  Of course employees will likely talk but try and promote discretion and ask the employee not to flaunt the reward for good work.

Glad to hear the office is running smoothly!
