How many employees does it take to run your alarm business?
**********************
How many employees does it take to run your alarm business?  Hopefully many.  Don’t try doing it all yourself.  You will need office personnel and sales.  Then you will need installation, inspection and service techs. The number of employees you will need to operate efficiently and yet service all your customers and grow is fluid and something you should be considering all the time.  I can’t answer the question; only you can.
And that brings me to the topic I really want to get to, how many employees does it take to put you out of business?  I know the answer to that question.  The answer is, one.  One mistake is enough to expose you to liability and if the damages exceed your insurance coverage, which they could easily, you could be hit with a monetary judgement that you won’t be able to pay or hide from.  Scary.
If you’re going to be at ISC West this year you can get some great advice, free.  And this advice is worth much more than you’re paying for.  There are several Roundtable discussions being conducted.  Even if full, call and get on the waiting list because we are likely going to have last minute openings.
Don Maden from COPS is leading a discussion on how your monitoring company can help you avoid liability.  March 19, 11:30 am
Bart Didden from Security America is leading a discussion on errors and omission insurance coverage, insurance claims and risk management.  March 19, 3 pm
Call Stacy Spector, Esq at 516 747 6700 x 304 or email SSpector@Kirschenbaumesq.com to attend.
Check out these and other Roundtables below.
