HOME AUTOMATION AND INTEGRATION AGREEMENT
******************
There is a new standard form agreement called the Standard Home Automation and Integration Agreement.  You can get it on our order page at www.alarmcontracts.com.  Orders received this week will be entitled to modification at no charge.
Years ago a lot of alarm companies thumbed their nose at other alarm companies who did non security work.  Some of these companies sold and installed central vacuum systems, did home entertainment such as television or audio systems, water filter systems, etc.  Alarm companies considered themselves to be in the security business and didn't want to water down the brand by doing non security work.  But the alarm industry has come a long way and most companies do not limit themselves to alarms.  The competition is fierce, the products and services available are relatively affordable and there is serious demand for the bells and whistles that electronic security companies can offer.  It's a natural progression from intrusion alarms and fire protective devices to cameras, remote access, access control, audio features, thermostat and other electronic device controls from a smart phone or internet connected device, movie theater quality television, music studio quality sound systems, drapes that open and close, lights that go on, off and change color, sprinkler controls, pool controls, and hot tub controls.  Won't be too long before you can activate your personal robot to make you dinner or who knows what else.
If you're installing security equipment in the home then you should be using the Residential All in One.  If you are installing security and other non security home automation items you can and should use the Residential All in One.  But, if you are not installing security equipment and you're installing home automation [and I include in that category video and remote access that is not connected to a security system or warning of intrusion] then you shouldn't be using a security contract.  A number of our clients requested an agreement for Home Automation and Integration and we have now prepared a standard form and offer it at "mass market" pricing.
After you get the new agreement please do not hesitate to provide feedback and suggest changes, though, I believe the new agreement will be what you need for home automation products and services.

MOBILE TRAILER SECURITY AGREEMENT
*****************
Another form that we recently prepared is a mobile trailer security agreement.  This agreement is not being offered as a standard form because there are variables that should be modified company by company.  Call our Contract Administrator Eileen Wagda at 516 747 6700 x 312 or Jesse Kirschenbaum, Esq at 516 747 6700 x 307 to discuss this agreement form and its cost.  It's not expensive and it's worth it.
