Is an alarm.com rider the correct Rider we need for this? Do we need another type of rider to execute on master monitoring and service agreement for multiple sites? JD *************** Response *************** The Rider for Multiple Locations is used when you want to turn your All in One into a "master" agreement to cover one or more existing sites with the prospect of adding new sites in the future without having to negotiate a new contract [All in One] for each location. The alarm.com Rider is used when you are an alarm.com dealer offering alarm.com services. **************** wife of subscriber wants to control system **************** Ken, The wife of our subscriber is stating that the subscriber has suffered two strokes. The subscriber is now unwittingly disarming and bypassing zones on the system. The wife of the subscriber states that she has a Power of Attorney. The preferred remedy is to have the wife as the subscriber. With the POA, can we get a rider, or would a new agreement be needed? Will the old agreement need to be cancelled? Please advise us on the legal process for remedying this situation. James **************** Response **************** Once the wife gives you the Power of Attorney and you verify that the husband is still alive, she can act in his behalf. No new contract would be needed. She would also have the authority to terminate the contract, with your approval, and then could sign a new contract with you. A new updated contract may be preferable but either option is acceptable legally. **************** To order up to dateStandard Form Alarm / Security / Fire and related Agreements, click here: www.alarmcontracts.com ************************* CONCIERGE LAWYER SERVICE PROGRAM FOR THE ALARM INDUSTRY You can check out the program and sign up here: https://www.kirschenbaumesq.com/page/concierge or contact our Program Coordinator Stacy Spector, Esq at 516 747 6700 x 304. *********************** NOTICE: You can always read our Articles on our website at ww.kirschenbaumesq.com/page/alarm-articles *********************** THE ALARM EXCHANGE
